My Interests

I'd like to meet:

"Friends - - they are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us."

Music:

Television:

"At the center of the universe is a loving heart that continues to beat and that wants the best for every person. Anything we can do to help foster the intellect and spirit and emotional growth of our fellow human beings, that is our job. Those of us who have this particular vision must continue against all odds."-Fred Rogers, TV's "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood"

Books:

The Out of Sync Child, Ten Things Every Child with Autism Wishes You Knew, Look Me In The Eye, How Full is Your Bucket, Asperger's Syndrome, A Parent's Guide to Autism,

Heroes:

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips." It was read at her funeral years later. For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.
