Red Robin

Geburtstags-Sause vom 10.-12. Mai in der Bar 25

About Me

31-year-old Red Robin found his way into electronic music only five years ago. However, Robin has had a long journey through various types of music; including 15 years of classical piano, 14 years of drums, African, and Brazilian percussion, which prepared him for a fast integration into the Berlin-based electronic music scene.Robin has been the resident dj at Berlin’s number one afterhour-location Bar 25, since 2005. He also released his first record on cologne-based label Platzhirsch Schallplatten together with his buddy, Philipp Groth, under the name of “Pachulke & Sohn.” After this release, word spread quickly about his demanding dj-sets combining both his very own style of swing and dark deep sounds. Defining his style mostly through his unique mixing-technique, has allowed various types of electronic dance-music find their way into Red Robins dj-bag including minimal, straight techno, breaks and tomorrows sound today. After a remix he did with his friend Aaron Hedges on D.O.C. 12, he got signed on Trapez ltd. together with his buddy Jakob Hilden. The "Metro Gold EP" was released in July 2007, and "Snapdragon" was played everywhere by everyone - Ellen Allien even listet it number 1 on her all year charts 2007. The "Tales EP" hit stores end of November, the next release is going to be a remix Red Robin & Jakob Hilden did vor Lucio Aquilina. With Bar 25 going into another season and "Robinson und der lustige Freitag", a party series at Arena Club, also in Berlin, two residencies build a solid ground for a successfull year 2008...
