Biography:
EFFECT, dj/live-act, producer and event/label manager was born 1973 in the north alps of italy and has quite a history:
just as a kid effect..s days and nights were filled with music. he startet djing early with 13 years old an did his first music creation experiences in times of commodore 64 and amiga.
since then he spend most of his earned money for weekend travels to the events and record stores in the metropoles of europe in search of new music, new styles, new sounds, talented artists, clubs, events, inspirations, great people and music/event equipment.
with his style and sound developing and keen for some of the new and exciting electronic artists to get the attention they deserve, effect after starting his own label effectmusic.net in 1999 founded different underground eventlabels like "revolution", "breathe" and "underground sessions" taking place in clubs, castles and outdoor events and he held down various residencies as dj in north italy.
the last addition to effectmusic.net events "effectric" is a monthly event series combination of preparty in the most hipp lounge bar and party in of the most amazing venue of north italy in his home town bolzano with international guest acts.
EFFECTRIC is firmly dedicated to the support and development of the best cutting edge electronic dance music. It loves quality alternative sounds, adores a great party and thrives on creative, young people armed with something new to say. you can expect international top underground newcomer as well as big names but always great music beyond every mainstream.
EFFECTRIC hostet artists like Tobi Neumann (Cocoon), Guido Schneider (Pokerflat/Motiv/Cadenza), Red Robin (Trapez/Bar25 Berlin), Lauhaus (Amsterdam), Raymundo Rodriguez (Jaded THE END London), Wasabi (Barcelona), Frank Maurel (Porto), eCCo (Koppenhagen), Moritz von Pein (Stuttgart), Oliver Weiter (Amsterdam) and many more.
in 2000 effect started producing and released his first track as "night draw" for a label in vienna in 2004 and is now releasing his own tracks exclusively on his own label effectmusic.net and integrates live versions of them in his sets.
in later 2005 effect had his till then biggest audience playing as headliner in the exciting venue called bahnhofsremise FS (an old train office repair station) open once a year for the local festival of music and contemporary art festival rocking more than 1.500 audiences and becoming voted "best party 2005" in the news.
in summer 2006 effect played at the main open air stage at the Audiofort festival presenting the promo cd for the event "Audiofort" which came out to great critical acclaim amongst international dj..s.
nowadays u can expect meeting effect in one of the top underground locations in europe capitals playing spontaneos and intuitive live flavoured sets on his amazing setup consisting of laptop, ni-kore and lemur multitouch surface.
after starting djing on vinyl, moving to cd in combination with vinyl effect has left turntables behind for literally redevelop music live. with the ability to sample, loop, and fuse elements from multiple songs at once through digital technology, Effect truly revolutionizes his live DJ performance by embracing technology to attain a new interpretation of mixing.
EFFECT is one of a small number of DJ’s delivering a fresh sonic surge of forward thinking music and new dancefloor perspectives and is noted for adopting new styles in electronic dance-music which later become the mainstream.

As an early adopter of new technology, effect has always had the latest gear running to take his live shows in futuristic directions and reinventing his dj sets and live acts and using also as a pioneer the revolutionary fully personalisable multitouch-screen "lemur" which his it-company is also first reseller for italy.
2007 is firmly set up to be yet another special year. in early this year EFFECT released the EP "Helilove", made his debut at the top underground Club BAR 25 in Berlin, signed for his first residency in UK at the afterhour "Jaded" at THE END in London, presented his first "EFFECT in the Mix" for Ministry of Sound London and played at most of the cutting edge underground clubs in europes Dance Capitals.
The new EP "EFFECT - Brainline" was played by international artists like RED ROBIN.
Always a lover of 'proper' music, and not a fan of mainstream music machines, EFFECT is a believer in giving people something exciting, special and different and his performing antics have taken him to such respected spaces as THE END in London, Berlin’s number one afterhour-location BAR 25, CITY HALL Barcelona and Festivals like the legendary AUDIOFORT (co-organized by EFFECT) in Italy, PEDRA DO COUTO (Porto) and the underground "SECTRET ISLAND" Festival in Sweden.
