Lucid Luke

Lucid Luke, aka Konstantin Johannes, started at the age of 9 buying his first 12inches and by the time he was 15 DJ'ed at school parties and weddings. It was then that Lucid’s musical tastes were influenced considerably by the emergence of sounds from Propaganda, Depeche Mode, New Order and Front 242. In 1986 he was introduced to house and from then on electronic music became his favourite style. He opened a recording studio with a friend in 1989 and started experimenting with recording and production techniques. Two years later he completed his sound-engineering studies. In 1994 he moved to London, where he worked for several years as an engineer in the music business. Since 1999 he has been based in Amsterdam where he composes and produces electronic tracks in his own studio. At the same time he is also working on several projects with other musicians. His primary aim is to create music which makes people dance and have a good time.
