About Me

I grew up in a poor neighborhood in Athens called Tzitzifies-Kallithea. I got involved with the greek punk movement when I was 13. I had my first gig when I was 13 too. I formed a band called The Flowers Of Romance playing punk rock and later turned into gothic rock. This band lasted for 18 years and had several releases. I studied as a film director. I formed the industrial/goth band Nexus in 1999 that lasted for 6 years and had 5 more releases. I founded Cyberdelia Records, a label that lasted for 5 years and had a catalogue of 12 releases. Cyberdelia distributed gothic, EBM, experimental and industrial music in Greece. Now I am playing with the New Zero God. I am not in it for money or fame. I am in it just for the fun of it all. My full name is Mike Pougounas. I am a musician.

The national television asked us for an other 30 minutes show which was not a playback this time. It was weird. Playing live in the basement in front of two camera men (this is were two camera men meet…to discuss about football while shooting the show….) and a bunch of sound engineers in an other room about 3 meters above our heads. It reflects perfectly the shit hole where the greek bands were trying to survive and make music in the early 90's.
