About Me
================================================Since my childhood, the structures of nature have always fascinated me. Trees, plants, and mushrooms enchant me. Even grey and inhospitable rock or mountain landscapes wake creativity and a “joie de vivre†in me. The endless weather and light patterns only serve to enhance this. I’ve always tried to reflect these images in my painting.
I also draw upon experiences and impressions from my social life. I’ve been fortunate enough to know a wide variety of people and see a lot of different places and situations.
I grew up in Interlaken. After a sheltered and dreamy childhood, I learned to be a textile salesman, but my creativity was somewhat stifled. After various interim jobs, I got into building construction work, and used my spare time to study my true occupation. From 1996-1998, I completed evening courses in Art… learning portraits and comic illustration.
I did a lot of practical street art, as well as studio work, and after some time my skills were noticed. I got commissions to do public art projects from municipal governments such as painting an underpass in Hilterfingen.
Private companies and individuals paid me to design unique art pieces for their façades. Eventually, an increasing amount of people inquired into the possibility of “Graffiti Workshops†and lessons in technique. So, in the summer of 2006, I developed such programs to teach others what I had learned about creating artwork. My familiarity with various materials and techniques, I presented to eager audiences. Acrylics & Oil, Brush techniques & Spray-can, putty, stencils, and endless styles of Graffiti are just some of my fortés.
Art has gone from being my hobby to my main focus in life. I have had numerous exhibitions and gallery showings where my works have sold. I’ve done personal commissions for friends and complete strangers. I’ve recently begun printing my art onto t-shirts which sell at a number of boutiques and souvenir shops. I print these with my own equipment, using state of the art computer guided processes. This has given me quite a bit of experience with modern methods of computer art and the various programs available to artists these days.
At this point, the future is wide open. One thing is for certain, though… I will be creating Bushstyle art until I’m too old to hold a brush.
