Bedford Town FC... Members Of The Nationwide Conference South...

About Me

Bedford Town FC play in the Southern League, after being relegated from the English Conference South in April 2007. Bedford were promoted in May 2006 away at Chippenham Town in the Southern League Premier Division Play-off. It was the third attempt at promotion, after losing in the last minute to St Albans in May 2004 when the Conference South was formed, and to Chippenham in the Southern League Play Off Semi-Final in May 2005. However thanks to Sir Tommy Bonner, we made it third time lucky. You can see the clips of the winning goal below, which was in the 89th Minute. We welcome all fans to the New Eyrie, the home town or rural Bedfordshire in the East Midlands/West Anglia depending on where you want to live...In 1982 our club died, but in 1990 a group of fans got together and did something about it, to bring a football club back to our town. We got an old tree nursery which is now called the New Eyrie, which is currently being improved for the FA's grade two status, too enable us to stay in the Nationwide South.------------------------------------------------------ -------------------
