Hello, my name is Hendon Football Club. I was born in 1908, as Christ Church Hampstead. I have also been known as Hampstead, Golders Green, and then Hendon. I have lived at Claremont Road in Cricklewood for 80 years.
Lots of nice things have happened to me - I once reached the 3rd round of the FA Cup, and drew at Newcastle. I've won the FA Amateur Cup, and played in front of a full house at Wembley Stadium.
Times have been hard for me recently though. I will probably have to move home soon, as my lovely old home is a bit run-down, and is being sold for housing. The number of people who come and visit me now has dwindled, and I don't appear to be as popular as I was in my younger days. I haven't got much money either, and it's now down to a few of my closest friends to try and raise money to keep me going. I'm nearly 100 years old, and I've had a good innings, but I'm not ready to go yet.
As a friend of mine, I would be thrilled if you could take the time to go and visit the people who are trying to keep me alive. They're the Hendon Football Club Supporters Trust, and they can be found as www.hfctrust.co.uk and they're very nice people. To join these nice people costs just £10 for a whole year, and whilst it may not sound like much, it would mean an awful lot to me if you did.
The Supporters Trust are currently trying to arrange to take over running of me from my current owners the Arbiter group (who've been very nice to me, and without whom I may have passed away a few years back). All monies they raise will go towards keeping me going and finding a nice home for me to live in. I do love my old home, but I haven't been able to afford to do it up recently, and as it looks likely I'm moving, and it's going to be knocked down, it's not been worth doing much to the old place.
Like I say, I'm getting on a bit now, but I'm not ready to shuffle off this mortal coil yet. If you want to see what the Supporters Trust do, then click on their website. And if you want to come and visit me, I'll put a list of dates I'm available on the calender section here to let you know when I'm about.

AFC Hornchurch 2 Hendon 1 Disappointment Level - High

Aveley 2 Hendon 3 Games we’ve been behind in and won this season 4
