The club was founded in 1883, originally named Singers FC. That was later changed to Coventry City FC, and the club started playing their home matches at the stadium that would be the home of the club for the next 100 years, Highfield Road. After being relegated from the Premiership in the 2000/01 season, the club spent a remaining 4 seasons at the ground before making the move to the fabulous 32,500 all-seater Ricoh Arena, where they have been playing their home matches since the start of the 2005/06 campaign.WE HATE:
