Alex was born in Mannheim in 1986.Already 6 years later he got his first real drumkit and attended his first private drum lessons of his life.
In 1997 he got into the Music School of Mannheim and played immidiatly in the
classical orchestra "Mannheimer Bläserphilharmonie" and the Jazz Big Band "Jazz 4 Fun" while playing rock music in his highschool-band.Already at this point of his life it became clear,that he will be a drummer playing all different kind of styles.
Concerts and tours followed around Mannheim,but also to Switzerland,Norway,The Netherlands,Belgium,Czech Republic,Colombia and China.
In 2002 he participated with the "Mannheimer Bläserphilharmonie" in the "World Music Contest" in Kerkrade(NL) and won the first price with honor.
Also in 2006 the orchestra won a competition in Praha(CZ),the "International Festival for Brass-Music-Orchestras with a first price.
Also this orchestra had a 3 week tour throughout China in 2004,with a final concert in the "Forbidden City Concert Hall"in Bejing.
Alex also played Benefit Concerts in Colombia for orphans, with a choir from Mannheim(Agua Viva) in 2002.
In the same year he started as a drummer in the funk band "Space Combo",where he is also arranging and composing up until today.
2003-2005 he attended lessons with Marco Klotz(independant)and Thomas "Lui" Ludwig (Jule Neigel).
From 2004-2005, he gave drum lessons himself at a private school in Heidelberg.
Since 2005 he studies jazz-drums at the "Royal Conservatory" in The Hague.
There he receives drum lessons from Eric Ineke(independant) and Stefan Kruger(Zuco103).
In the Hague,Alex plays all different kind of bands and projects(Jazz/Funk/Fusion/Hip Hop/Trip Hop),spreading his funky groove all over The Netherlands.
Since 2008 he also receives drum lessons from Jamal Thomas(Maceo Parker),in which he found his new mentor.In march 2008 he performed with Branford Marsalis and the Royal Conservatory Big Band in The Hague.
