About Me

Sinalma was born a few years ago when Anders wanted to form a band with his friend Alma. She had other plans though and took off to Spain to study the art of Flamenco. Anders thought:"What the heck, I'll just start a band without Alma." That's why he decided to call the band Sinalma (in Spanish "sin" means "without")Sadly, the band did not last long but it kept living inside Anders' head during his years of studying jazz and acoustic bass. After a year in Spain, Anders decided, not to learn Flamenco, but to start up his old band. He only kept one original member, himself, and asked the finest musicians and friends he knew if they would like to join the band. And they sure did.In autumn 2006 Sinalma finished their first stuido recording recorded at Blue Street Studio.During the recording sessions Sinalma was joined by an incredible accordionist by the name of Dennis Rosendahl. Check out what he did on the track "Hiding"!
