Dead Pan Rangers

Experimentally Skewed Indie Pop Rock

About Me

Dead Pan Rangers are not a "the" band. They have have been interested in mixing experimentalism with flying nun style "pop" hooks ever since they first stumbled onto music such as the 3ds, early Mercury Rev, Pavement and Sonic Youth.Since then they have released 3 cds and one obscure tape in the guise of their former moniker "Mystery Machine."Shows have taken place with or without their consent in two hemispheres, and in three different countries. Now they have relocated from beautiful New Zealand to grimy London and beyond (one of the them inhabits another world where beer is cheap and the language violent), and hope to release a belated fourth CD sometime in the future. In the meantime their back catalogue is available from their website, or from Powertool Records in New Zealand. The only advice they are capable of administering is: "let me in, I´m a Ranger." You may find this useful in a good many situations.
