unpasteurised

About Me

GREETINGS UNPASTEURISED TUROPHILES!I am a kiwi living in London for the last 6 years, in a tiny studio flat with my lovely wife.I like cheese, alot.Via a blend of googling, myspace, cheese nerding and divine intervention, the universe has gifted me a sweet cheesemongering job in London.Am planning to contribute to the cheese scene in New Zealand when we eventually go back. Thanks to Roquefort and good taste and sense, hopefully more artisan unpasteurised cheeses to be produced and imported into New Zealand! Huzzah!!!In the meantime we are getting up to mischief in Mordor, going to gigs and eating and drinking our way about Europe. Mmmmmmm, the cheese.Check out the NEW ZEALAND CHEESE MAPThe New Zealand Food Safety Authority have finally started development work on a raw milk cheese standard that would facilitate both the New Zealand production of raw milk cheeses (and potentially other raw milk products) and the importation of a wider range of raw milk products. The initial timeline of October 2008 is dependant on the outcome of their relevant scientific work, and allows for consultation with industry, consumer groups and other interested parties. NZ MADE UNPASTEURISED CHEESE!!! HUZZAH!!!!UK Cheese Guild World Cheese Awards 2007 Supreme Champion - Brie de Meaux AOC.A cool cheesy comic by Mike Bannon Check him out!!!Louis Pasteur himself, the inventor of pasteurisation, said: I would rather a child ate bread which had been dragged through the dirt than grow up on an over sterile diet.Amazing Italian tv ads for the world famous Parmigiano Reggiano!!!!
