EARZ TO THA RADIO AND RADIO TO THA EARZ !!!
IT..S THA PROPHECY 107.1 FM HIP HOP RADIO SHOW GERMANY LEGEND OSITA ON MY SPACE.WHAZZ UP Y..ALL!...It was wayback in 1988,when my brother and I,both born to Nigerian-Biafran parents and raised in West Germany,then watched the American Music Awards on the German TV Channel SAT.1.Both of us,Music fanatics,growing up with Nigerian Highlife music,Reggea,Soul,black music in general and all the music surrounded us(rock, pop etc.)then saw LL Cool J,alongside with his Djs Cut Creator and Bobcat performing the song "im Bad" from his album "Bigger and Deffer".I noticed,that the Audience and the Musicians,though they werent familiar to these sounds ,I think,were rockin as he and his crew performed.What I also noticed was ,that they were playing music from the turntables and the djs moved the records back and forth,and he somehow didnt sang in a regular sense and they didnt used instruments,as a regular band would do.But his song was bangin and drove my brother and me out of the couch and we somehow moved to that music we really didnt knew about that time and I thought myself "what kind of good fuckin music is this??? A few months later I knew that this music is called rap Music.the rest is history.Through an old companion who went by the name of D-Neill,we got the Run DmC Record"Tougher than Leather",he gave us as a Present from his vacation to Yugoslavia.We then started buying and collecting records(You know,those Cats like Public Enemy,Run DMC,LL Cool J,Big Daddy Kane,Def jef, Young MC,king Sun,Kool G Rap& DJ Polo,queen Latifah,EPMD,MC Shan,Dana Dane,Eric B and Rakim,Terminator X, 3rd bass,Marley Marl,Just Ice,MC Lyte,just to name a few),that was the sound we listened to and we start to listen to back then.But we also gave love to the artists on the west coast,like ice t, ice cube,nwa,The D.O.C,Digital underground,dj quick,da lench mob etc. By that time i was 11 years old,Not knowing anything about Rap Music,or lets say Producing or Mcing,We recorded the breaks of some of our rap records on tape with vocal samples and somehow looped them and layed our fragile raps on it in our home basement,really weak stuff, i can say.By that time I went by a several "MC" names,such as ,KIng Kool.Raw Kid,Kid v or first one.In our hometown,the City of Goettingen(Lower Saxony,Germany),especially in the Borough of Weende(where it all Started),not just my brother and I ,but friends of us connected,and everything spreaded to all other parts of the city,as a result of that the hip hop scene,better to say the rap scene,developed in 1990/91.That was then in 91.My Brother connected with a producer,who worked in a store where they sold musical instruments and hooked up with DJ Scoundrel,we both new from Kindergarten and i somehow played the hypemen and support MC for him until I formed Goettingens 2nd (by that time,There was just my brothers group Radical Comittee)Hip Hop Group called Black Essence.That was in 1993.We both performed regulary in our town and around with other Groups.For many Years now I am a Hip Hop addict and since 1998 I am the host of my Radio Shows on our local Radio Station City Radio Goettingen 107.1 FM in Germany with tha name"Tha Prophecy"and since 1999 the"Late Nite Show".I am the producer, the host of the show and responsible for the music,organization and the music.
