LoveSlave is from the small town of Dixon (hometown of Ronald Reagan), in northwestern Illinois.
It all started in late 2002 with Matt Kolve and Brandon Reuter jamming out on guitar. They were soon joined by singer and songwriter Kevin Kinneas. They had made one song entitled "Just Another Day With Triple K" in honor of Kevin. Lastly Josh Howard joined as the drummer. At that point they decided to call the band The Fuzzy Nipples and Cameltoe Crusaders feat. Mrs. Furry Pussy with Devil Eyes...... The name continues into a longer paragraph equalling 170 words. To be humorous, the band went for the world's longest name. After that, the band started taking it more seriously, and that name had to go. Josh Howard and friend Rafe Thomas had become huge fans of a Finnish metal band named HIM. Josh came up with the idea of calling the band "LoveSlave" as he was driving with Rafe and Matt to the local grocery store late one night.
This band almost never got off the ground. Everyone had lost their focus, and the band almost broke up. Then a major breath of life was given to this band when Josh and Brandon decided to switch instruments. Josh became bassist, and Brandon became drummer on February 18th, 2005. Within the first few hours of practice, Loveslave came up with "Intro" and the Grease/Wild Thing cover "Wild Summer Nights". Now the sky is the limit for this up and coming band of best friends.
