Strongly influenced by the musical background of his father, little Peter starts to work on an impressive record collection. After his first try-out behind the decks in Louvain (BE) he is immediately rewarded with a residency.
Silo, becomes his outlet for many years to come.
During the summer of 1994, Peter (20 at that time) packs his records and flies to Ibiza, not knowing what adventure he will play a part in. The chill-out lounge at Pacha (El Ciello) quickly becomes his nightly niche alongside Alfredo.
Back in Belgium, after living in Eivissa for 6 months, Peter is spotted weekly at Cirao. His career is on a roll as he also assumes a residency alongside PhiPhi at the Legendary Mondays. At that time, these nights at Extreme are a must in Belgium and even at this very moment, more than ten years later, they are still considered as top hightlights in Belgium's clubbing history. It is at the Legendary Mondays that Peter's hard work and devotion comes to real fruition for the first time. As one of Belgium's pioneer dj's, he there shares the decks with renowned dj's such as John Digweed, Danny Howells, Jimmy van M, Lee Burridge and many more.
In 1998, after Extreme is forced to keep its doors closed, he becomes resident at Tour&Taxi on Saturday. Not surprisingly, T&T quickly becomes the new hot spot in Brussels, with Peter confirming that even after the Legendary Mondays at Extreme, the future is all but dark!
Few years later, following his festival performance at the first edition of House Torhout (Belgium's first outdoor dance festival), Peter is offered the closing slot at the Main Stage of the 2002 Cityparade in Liège (BE). Peter plays one of those memorable "few in a lifetime"-sets and a mere few weeks later, he represents Belgium at the Nature One Festival in Germany. Peter re-confirms himself as one of Belgium's finest talents as in November that same year he is booked at the renowned I Love Techno indoor festival, warming the floor for international guests Timo Maas, Remy, Anthony Pappa, and The Youngsters as well as for the Belgian brothers The FilterHeadz.
With this Huge passion for moving people, there is no stopping on Peter. Not even after a year full of peaktime moments. He becomes THE resident at the "E-motionz"-parties taking place at the quality clubs Silo (Louvain), Café d'Anvers (Antwerp) and Fuse (Brussels), where he showcases his vast musical skills and takes up the decks alongside national and international talents. Again Danny Howells is one of the first to be invited on these well attended parties, laying the ground for his success in the hottest clubbing country in Europe. The next two years, artists such as Fabrice Lig, Jamie Anderson, John Digweed, Dubfire (Deep Dish) and Sasha come to Belgium as guests at these infamous nights.
At the same time, from 2004 on, Peter gains more and more of the well earned recognition abroad. He drops regular sets for the Istanbul posse and is a regular guest at Silly Symphonies in The Hague (Holland).
In 2005 & 2006, Peter is the driving force behind the "On The Decks" party series where he puts a Belgian dj in the spotlights with each new session. Add to that his continuing "E-motionz"-residency and guest appearances at various other party series and many one off parties, it is clear that Peter continues to mesmerize clubbing Belgium.
Constantly re-inventing himself, while at the same time staying true to his unique musical feeling and keeping up a high quality level throughout the whole of his career up untill today, it is only more than fair that Peter is considered as one of Belgium's leading DJs. Peter stands for a true rock the party vibe, though always approached from his unique angle.
Moreover, Peter continuously puts up new and higher standards, as shown when, in 2005, he moves beyond the art of dj'ing and starts up
"Novak&Therm" & "Mayan" as his two studio projects.
Persistance, patience and devotion have brought the first project to a point of fruition. Determined to share his view on the fresh
"E-motionz"-imprint.

EMO001 The Vault - Novak&Therm - 12"Released 02/04/07 Info: The first release on the brand new E-motionz imprint brings us two powerful tracks by Novak & Therm. The A-side holds 'Inside The Vault', a mysterious sounding tune that catches your attention right from the beginning. A throbbing kick, well swung percussion and a dynamic pointed bassline make up the foundation. On top, two thriving synths wander around on osmotic layers. Ideal to get the crowd going, with an assured 'hands up in the air' moment. On the flipside is 'Lost Phunk', a tune with a more clear electro influence, though without it to be confined to this style. A basis made out of an electroish bassline and a fat drone is completed with a subtle sequence dwelling the higher frequencies. Lost Phunk is nothing less than a solid piece of music which is bound to get the feet moving and the booties shaking! Both tracks in this single are crossover, containing electro, minimal, house and progressive features. Yet, one cannot call it an electro, minimal, house or progressive record. The blend of styles embodies exactly what the label will stand for: quality music with a heart and soul, not to be confined to just one genre. The hybrid compound is also the feature which makes this release genuine and truly interesting and a must have for jocks around the globe. Both tracks in this single are crossover, containing electro, minimal, house and progressive features. FeedbackMichel de hey: the a side is totally top! very good dj track, will play it for sure John Acquaviva: charted & playing in my last podcast! Umek: in my chart this month! Patrick Pulsinger: yes, i like the record! played it out last weekend and got good response. lost funk is my favotite track!!!! works cool with different kind of styles. good production. keep up the good work! Marco Bailey: good tracks on the novak release !! Tomaz (Intec, Switch Studio BXL): A side is a very cool track. Will play that in both my sets as on the radio. “Lost Phunk” I like a bit less. A bit too “busy” sounding for my taste. I like the coolness of the a-side better benoit (earth): I Love 'Lost Phunk' because this one is the best for the dancefloor! EMO002 FairyTale - Karl S.Berg - 12"Released 04/06/07 Info Great second release on this fresh Belgian imprint by Karl S. Berg - very danceable minimal tech-house! Second release on this fresh Belgian imprint by Karl S. Berg - probably the wackiest producer in the world. The 'Ink Anther' remix is mere thriving tech house with a clear minimal touch, broadly deserving the A1 pole position on this record. The original version on A2 is a deep minimal house track, yet one of the frisky type. On the flip side 'Lumberjack' is an inciting minimalistic techy tune with electro influences - for those who know... More info is to be found on www.myspace.com/freeyouremotionz Laurent Garnier: nice cool A side, will play it! Marco Bailey: i like the B side !! Marcel Janovsky (Treibstoff): I like the KSB -Juggler , it´s a cool prime-time shaker with a tight groove. The original is prefered for the monring hours (or later). Thanks for the record - will play it for sure ! Chymera (Mezzotinto, Ovum): Liking the Ink anther remix...probably more minimal than I usually play but its got a nice hypnotic build to it that reminds me of a jacked up marc houle. Nico De Ceglia (Pete Tong's Essential Selection BBC radio 1): Good EP! I like all the tracks here. I’m surely playing it out this weekend! Michel De Hey: Nice record! B-side in the box! Tomaz (Switch, Belgian National Radio Show): 9/10 Great second release for the label. Karl on a roll !! Seba Lecompte (Fuse club bxl, Eukatech): Great release! The A-side does the trick for me, with the KSB juggler mix as my favourite: a nice peaktime burner. Already played it out a lot. DJ Prinz (Café D'anvers): 10/10 I love this record, this one will stay quiet long in my recordbag ! I will review it in White Night Mag! EMO003 Mond - Novak&Therm + (Tigerskin rmx) EMO003 12" released 03/09/07!!! Info E-Motionz is coming closer to cruising speed with this new release. The original version and the KSB Juggler Mix take you on a dark tech journey, while Tigerskin delivers a top notch, straight in your face remix...wow! When people see Tigerskin's name in a remix title, expectations start to rise. And right so, it seems once again! With his Rollin Claw Remix of Novak & Therm's "Mond", the Berliner whips up a load of the many tag words we like to describe the E-Motionz catalogue with. Taking off rather easy, you are steadily tricked into a pitch-fevered & mind thwarting track and before you get the chance to fully realise what is happening, snaredrums are hitting you in the face over and over again in what's nothing less than a true snaredrum galore... Yes indeed, this one will surely melt the decks and stir up the fire at peaktime! It's one of those tracks that grows on you the more you hear it, easily standing the test when compared to Tigerskin's top remixes in his already impressive remixography... The B-side shows us how it all came about: the original on B1 is dark tech house with a menacing drive, wearing a big "late hours"-stamp. The same goes for the KSB Juggler Mix, which strips down the original to the essentials, resulting in a forceful minimal tech-track. E-Motionz is coming closer to cruising speed with this new release. The original version and the KSB Juggler Mix take you on a dark tech journey, while Tigerskin delivers a top notch, straight "in your face" remix...wow! Feedback: Kiki (B-Pitch): the tigerskin remix sounds great and will definitely play it! the other mixes are good too, but tigeskin´s just stood out ! Laurent Garnier: great stuff ,full club support on a-side & b1! Nico De Ceglia (Pete Tong's essential show): Another nice release on this label. All mixes here are good. Well done! Daniel fx: really like the tigerskin rmx...nice one! Deg (resident Fuse club BXL): I play the KSB JUGGLER MIX b 2 , nice minimal progressive track! Tomaz (Belgian National Radio show Switch): Another fine release with a superb rework by tigerskin. KSB rmx is great as well. Playing out ! DJ Prinz (café d'anvers resident) : 9/10 Tigerskin is the mix i prefer !EMO004 LipService - Charly M feat Sasse rmx - 12"release 12/11/07 Info E-Motionz introduces Charly M. to its audience with this three-track release. The original edit is deep emotronic with sweet filtered sounds on top of a pounding sub-kick. Berlin based Mood Music owner Sasse makes extensive use of the original elements on the A-side, but not without adding a twist to it as only he can. Nine minute of divine cruising beats. Making things complete, Novak & Therm sign up for a more up-down-up rework that is more violent than you would think after a first listen.
Feedback: Laurent Garnier: ok remix from Sasse ,but i still think that the original is stronger ...will play that on my deeper sets! Nico De Ceglia (a&r pete tong, bbc 1 essential selection): 8/10 Another nice release from this label. I like both original and Sasse rmx! Sian (Poker Flat): very nice stuff, like both tracks. keep up the good work Michel De hey: played the sasse rmx in my radioshow, nice atmosphere on that track! Marcel Janovsky (treibstoff): Thanks for the record man. One of the best u ever sent me. Will keep it in the box for the next weeks ... Subotic (Kill Brique - Triangle): The Novak&Therm rmx really stands out!!!! great job on your 4th release Dave Steel (Dave & Pazkal - Swiss): Novak & Therm rmx is the topper!!!! Sam Devos(Launch Cake): My favo is de Novak&Therm remix EMO005 - Subotic - Coming up Infos:Peter Novak Therm & Karl S.Berg Dub Taylor & Tigerskin Sasse - Moodmusic Suboticwww.newsdistribution.be
