Cool people. Purchase people, people with similar interests, people who would be friends with a guy like me. Especially people who once were VERY CLOSE friends with me, but I now no longer talk to or get to see. All of that, and I guess girls. Girls would be nice, too. Even moreso if they fit any or more than one of the above categories.
Mostly rock, and within that, mostly oldies. To be more specific, which could possibly entice new friends, I'm really into Bowie, The Beatles, and Diana Ross & The Supremes. Others I'm fond of include The Association, Del Shannon, Dale Hawkins, Sam Cooke, The Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, The Spinners, and very much Neil Diamond, as well as The Monkees, who he actually wrote some big hits for, if you didn't already know that.
Some newer people include Fiona Apple, Poe, Nine Inch Nails (depending on the situation and mood), The Spice Girls (Yes, THOSE Spice Girls, and I even have a Karaoke CD, SO THERE!), and the very lovely and talented Miss Amy Jo Johnson (yes, the original pink Power Ranger plays music, too. Just go to her official site at the obvious address to find out more.)
I also like a lot of stuff from soundtracks, including most any Muppet Music, as well as those songs never included on officially released albums, as well as Broadway musical stuff, despite being a heterosexual male. Particularly like Miss Saigon, Les Mis, 1776, West Side Story, and Little Shop of Horrors, though that one's based on the movie, directed by Frank "Bert, Grover, Cookie, Piggy, Fozzie, Animal, Sam, Marvin Suggs, George The Janitor, and lot's not forget the true master, Yoda" Oz.
Lastly, to update a bit, The Naked Brothers Band, also at one time known as The Silver Boulders, are suprisingly good, and often deep, for a bunch of kids. I've become mesmerized by them, and am now a huge fan.
Labyrinth, The Muppet Movie, the other two Muppet movies made while Jim Henson was alive, the Star Wars trilogy (original), The Lord Of The Rings trilogy, Alice In Wonderland, X-Men, X2, 1776, Little Shop Of Horrors, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory
The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, Arrested Development, The Simpsons, Futurama, Mr. Show, Saturday Night Live, Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, Saved By The Bell, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Looney Tunes, Pokemon, Doraemon, Dragon Ball Z, and a whole bunch more, probably.
In addition, as mentioned in Music, as an update, The Naked Brothers Band. I checked out the original movie on Nickelodeon out of curiosity based on the name, and just got sucked in. It's really funny, and deals with the issues kids that age would deal with. Very Monkees-esque, though I've heard it compared to Spinal Tap, which I have yet to see.
The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, not too many others, besides maybe comics:
I'm STILL with Cap! Rest in peace, old soldier.
