In mid-2005, Veritas was born when an enigmatic frontman emigrated from the gloomiest reaches of London to the sunny glare of Los Angeles. He soon befriended a soulful bass maestro and quirky synth kitten, and the 3 began turning sound upside down. With the recent addition of a fiery drum maven, Veritas reaches its ultimate incarnation.
Veritas mashes hard rock with synth pop for
a sound that is gutsy, catchy and delightfully odd. Major influences
include Muse, The Faint, Shiny Toy Guns, Faith No More, David Bowie and The Pixies.
Every live performance from Veritas is full of emotion and
pure energy. It is obvious from the first minute until the last that
Veritas cares about putting on a good live show; one that promises the
audience that it will feel every note with their bodies and
every bead of sweat that pours from their hearts.
2008 looks to be a very busy year for Veritas. Veritas will be recording their first full length album, shooting their first music video (Directed by Jonathan Jones) and plan on touring the West Coast of the United States in the spring.
