NO, Jumping the Gun (JTG) is not the most unique band to ever hit the music scene, everyone on the planet has seen a three piece guitar, bass, and drum band before. However, Jumping the Gun brings a new sound to the table. With heavy melodies and toe-tapping choruses, the band has classified themselves as progressive-alternative-pop punk. While focusing on serious topics of life and love that anyone can relate to, there has been nothing but positive feedback on every song they have written. As their fan base continues to grow daily JTG will easily become Orange County’s newest craze. In the past year they have performed live shows from their town of Mission Viejo, California to Tacoma, Washington. Relying on self promotion, merchandise, and the release of their much anticipated EP, “Echoes of a Life Once Lived,” the band shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, their most popular single, ‘It’s Not That Easy’ has been recently featured in Skratch Magazine’s v. 38 compilation album.
