Phoenix (real name Dmitry Matiuchin) was born in 1986 in the city of Vilnius (Lithuania). Dmitriy heard rap music in early 1994 when he was a little kid. But just in 1996 his interest of Hip-Hop became a real passion. In 1997 Phoenix began to write his own verses and rhymes in the russian language. So his MC career has begun.
Then Phoenix Participated in a rap group "Prizraki" (1998) and after the disintegration of the group in 2004 Phoenix joined a Lithuanian group "M.I.R.A.Zh Squad" as MC and beatmaker.
Also he worked and performed with such Lithuanian MCs, rap groups, and DJs as - Coras, MC Termit, MC Skrip, G&G Sindikatas, Svaras, Omerta, IAL, Shmekla ir Vaiper, Razum, ZL, Zee, Projekt Undersky, Q, Dj Mamania, Dj Mantini, Def One and etc.
M.I.R.A.Zh Squad was nominated for "Best Hip-Hop Group" in 2005 for Lithuania Hip-Hop Awards.
In 2006 Phoenix released his promo LP called "2003-2005. The Beginning..." Now Phoenix is recording a new (solo) album and working on fiew other projects. His journey has just begun.
