DJ and beatboxer with a love for the Funk. Updated bio coming soon!
2007 Bio:
Mowf has been a funky Lithuanian beatboxer since 2003, inspired by Paktofonika's "Popatrz" and HUMANBEATBOX.COM. After trying all the elements of Hip Hop, he specialised in vocal percussion and quickly built up an impressive list of appearances all over the Baltics, including shows with Killa Kela, Million Dan, Gustavo, Milky Lasers and Shlomo. He is part of the Damaging Rhythms trio and in 2006 was co-organiser of the historic "King of the Jam" beatboxing tour with Mark SPLINTER. He has appeared on the legendary Gatves Lyga compilation series "Ultimatumas", busted beats on TV and radio, performed live to more than 2000 people, rocked a club full of Kela fans, recorded sessions at Green Carpet Studios and jammed outside in all kinds of weather. One of his favourite shows was with Def One in Liepaja, thanks to the crazy Latvian audience, and he also enjoys improvising with live jazz musicians.
His main aims are to be a good Hip Hop citizen, to spread the culture, and to include influences from Jazz, Funk, Jungle, Nu Jazz, Trip Hop and Dubstep, to push the boundaries of his chosen artform.
