Brought into this world by Tatiana Berryman and Victor Cupnii, Vika was born in Kishinev, Moldova, which was part of the Soviet Union. Vika, which stands for Victoria was named after her father, Victor. Her ethnic background consists of Moldovian and Russian and speaks three different languages, such as, Russian, Romanian & English.
Vika attended a Russian Art School and was recognized as one of the best artists. At the age of 8, she was involved in plenty of activities. Choir, dancing, and writing poetry were just a few of her favorite hobbies. At the age of 16, she graduated from high school, which was prior to when she and her family moved to the United States. Although Vika understood that she had to initiate a new life in a dissimilar world, a few uncertainties still approached her. She knew that learning how to read and write in English would be a very difficult task, and that learning to verbalize the language itself would be an ever harder challenge for her. After all, she only knew one word in English, yet, she had thousands more to learn. But despite of the complicated trials of educating herself with the language, she prevailed over all her fears. Now she can articulate the language fluently and has even started to write her songs and poems in English.
In 2004, Vika moved to Indianapolis, IN and started a new life on her own. She got her own place and finally decided that she was ready to pursue her dreams. Prior to hiring her vocal coach, Robin , she also made time for piano lessons. Even though she started to become pre-occupied with her activities, she still made very little time for herself to get away from everything else. Music was still her main focus but she managed to find time to write songs, design clothing and to read novels.
After recognizing that she was prepared to start her music career, she made her very first album called “All About Meâ€. She worked with producers like Chris Kelly (Indianapolis), Chase P. (Atlanta), Vitaly “VIT†Nikolaev (Russia), Loren B. Middleton (Chicago),Fitz (Atlanta), Carlos Wright (Indianapolis), and Dekari (Orlando). Then she worked on her album in which most of her singles she wrote, including her first single called “Fantasize†which was produced by Chris Kelly &
Besides music, Vika has also taken part in modeling. So far, she has worked with major photographers like Paul Ellison, Leo Marshall from Atlanta and a few others. They all have helped her with creating certain images of different styles and different looks for her album and her music career.
Vika is not signed with any label; instead she has her own called “The One Entertainment†and is currently in the process of getting signed with a major label.
Despite of obstacles that has ran upon her, she has been very successful in all that she has tried to accomplish. So far she has had several offers of signing a record deal, and has yet to decide on who to be signed with. But watch out, Vika's success if broadly expanding and she is on her way to take over the world!
