Maria was born in the Philippines on December 22nd. She is the first daughter of Ray & Lulu and has two younger sisters, Cylvia (19) and Anne (12). Therefore, she has been a role model for quite some time. Her ethnicity consists of Filipina mixed with Spanish & Chinese.
She and her family traveled a lot due to her father's service in the Army. She's lived in the Philippines, Germany (Baumholder), Texas (Ft. Hood), and finally found a home in Indianapolis, Indiana. Being in "ARMY BRAT" was not easy for Maria. She loved making new friends, but she disliked having to move & leaving her friends behind.
She attended North Central High School and graduated with Honors. She is now a full-time student at IUPUI as a Business Major. She’s only working on her Bachelor’s Degree but hoping to get her MBA. She believes her education is very important because it's something that NO ONE could ever take away from her. There's nothing better than a woman with both beauty & brains.
At the age of 16, her father passed away due to health problems. It was at that point in her life in which she had to become a stronger individual. Not only was she growing up into a young woman, but she had to be strong. She learned so much from him. It was pretty devastating losing a father during her teenage years.
Modeling is one of the goals she plans to pursue. She is always ready for the camera and she believes modeling is an art. Her personality is what makes her stand out in the modeling industry. Not only does she have the looks, the body, but she also has determination and courage.
She is very spontaneous, outspoken, goal-oriented, and easy to get along with.
"Modeling is the marketing of MYSELF. There is plenty of competition out there and I know that I stands out because of who I am, and not how I LOOK. Beauty can be taken away in a blink of any eye. I am a person who is far more beautiful on the inside than the outside could ever be!"
She started with a non-exclusive modeling agency known as LModelz in 2005. LModelz was a good stepping stone for her. Her agent helped her get her first modeling job at Cleveland’s Hot Import Nights in 2005. LModelz also introduced her to local photographers: Dean Scott, Paul Ellison, Donald Burlock of PyroBlue, and more. She has also worked with famous photographers: Shawn Dowdell of GlamaGirls.com and Leo Marshall. Despite of what LModelz has done for her, she wanted to become independent until she finds the right agency.
Her favorite part of modeling is when she is critiqued. She loves when people judge or criticize her because it makes her stronger.
She says, "Modeling is tough in the Midwest. Midwestern models are usually overlooked, but people just do not know what they're missing."
