Chocolaate Hot upcoming female rap artist yields from Oakland, California. Chocolaate born Tierra Snell showcases her talents as a rapper, singer, dancer and a model. Like many black artists, the development of her skills began in the church. Chocolaate began songwriting at the age of nine and when she was ten years old directed the choir. The church became a center for sharpening her vocal, writing and dancing abilities. Influences of soul, r & b and hip-hop coupled with Chocolaates lyrics that are clearly heartfelt and always real, lead her to the East Bay Performing Arts Center in Richmond, California. At 19 she gained recognition for her unique vocal style and dance moves. Three years later she auditioned for Rankin Scroo the urban reggae Godfada as a dancer. Rankin Scroo discovers Chocolaates skills as a rapper and welcomes her to his Crucial Youth camp. Crucial Youth Productions has always catered to the youth of the urban community and Rankin Scroo decides to produce Chocolaates rap project. With Rankin Scroos innovative style and talents that have attracted rappers like E-40, Keak Da Sneak (3X crazy), Money B & Digital Underground (to name a few), Chocolaate could not have found a better home for her project.
