About Me

Hailing from Sydney's inner west Braden Evans brings a raw emotive energy and a unique voice to the noise of the urban jungle. Braden started playing guitar in '95 at age 12 and inspired by the music of Silverchair and Nirvana, put together his first band November Seventh not long after. The band had many incarnation with various members dropping off and being added along the way. The final line-up was unleashed on the world as Rivers-End by 2003. Braden and the band played to audiences up and down the east coast of Australia garnering a huge fanbase and scoring support slots for The Screaming Jets, Cog and Gyroscope.Rivers-end released their Debut EP on the world in April 2006 . By the time this happened Braden felt that the music they were making no longer reflected his own tastes and abilities. The band(still mates) split and Braden was inspired by his new found creative freedom. His musical taste had matured and he was beginning to take inspiration from other songwriters such as Paul McCartney, Jeff Buckley and Damien Rice as well as other genres.Braden has been working with producer Lamar Lowder on his solo material. He writes simple acoustic guitar driven songs that get to the point, pop songs with true emotion. He now makes the kind of music he'd like to listen to.
