About Me

Cool things about Skullgal:
I have lived through an earthquake in Japan. I have eaten durian with relish in Singapore. I have met an Irish ghost in an old mill in Ireland. I swam with a white shark (unknowingly - must be honest here) in Australia and banged my head with a couple thousand headbangers in Germany. What was my favorite? The headbangers. Metal is my heart and soul. Always has been and always will.
What do I do with my time? I sing in Drifter, an Iron Maiden cover band. I have sung in the neoclassical goth band Autumn Tears, and the classic heavy metal band Ignitor . I coordinate user testing at a tech company. I faux paint, I landscape, I remodel. I drive fast. I dream of owning a '72 Barracuda or an '71 Mach 1 Mustang. I pay fierce honor to my friends and loved ones, and my enemies shrink before my wrath. I read about serial killers, forensic anthropology, foreign lands and pathopsychology. I let nothing get between me and my pizza. I sing to my cat. I am writing a dystopian sci-fi novel and I blog . I work the fuck out. I notice something beautiful about the world every day.

My Interests

Forensic anthropology, paleontology (particularly predatory therapods), serial killers, muscle cars, home improvement, exercise, and HEAVY F'ING METAL!

I'd like to meet:

Folks with interesting ideas about heavy music, people who have worked in medical or forensic fields, anybody who likes taking apart and reassembling dead things, history buffs, muscle car nuts, creative people... however I know my interests mention serial killers, but I would rather not meet any of those.

Music:

Black, death, thrash and power metal in that order, traditional Celtic and world music.

Movies:

Sci-fi, drama, action (I like it when stuff blows up), documentaries.

Television:

The Shield, various home improvement shows, anything where criminals get chased by dogs and arrested, anything with SWAT in the title. My new thing is food shows, particularly Good Eats. My next house will have a gourmet kitchen, definitely. The mortgage company thanks you, Alton.

Books:

The Dark Tower series, anything about prehistoric life, anything about true crime/serial killers/forensic anthropology

Heroes:

Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Doro Pesch, Steve Irwin (RIP - I hope when my time comes I'm doing something I love, just as you were) and many others.
