This is a tribute page only. I am just a fan. I chatted to the old bass player online a bit and I told him of my idea to do a Holosade page & he said go for it, so here it is. He has since been a great help sending me lots of pics, songs & info, with more on the way, so watch this space to see more stuff being added as it comes in. If anyone has any cool stuff associated with the band please drop me a line.

Darlington quintet Holosade debuted in 1985 formed by ex-DARK HEART and REBEL vocalist Phillip De Sade. The band's first product was the cassette 'Vendetta', followed by a two track demo featuring 'Set Me Free' and 'Only In Love'. Holosade also had the track 'Cries In The Night' featured on the Ebony Records compilation album 'The Metal Collection'.
Original bassist Kevin Hole was to depart in favour of ex-DARK HEART and ROULETTE man Colin Bell in early 1986, as the band also added ex-PHANTOM guitarist Jack Hammer. This revised line-up recorded another two track cassette featuring 'Love It To Death' and 'Vicious'.
A further demo, 'Psycho' / 'Eternal Life', produced by Evo of WARFARE, was recorded at Neat Record's Impulse studios during 1987. Drummer Michael Lee (a.k.a. Damien Lee) opted to jump ship to major signing LITTLE ANGELS later that year and was later to journey on through THE CULT and ROBERT PLANT. Interestingly enough, the drummer was later to deny any involvement with Holosade whatsoever.
Colin Bell also departed and was replaced by EXXPLODER and PHANTOM bassist Mac in late 1987. Following the release of the 'Hellhouse' debut on Powerstation Records, recorded at Blue Strike Studios and issued in April 1988, Holosade toured with DEMON and SKELETON CREW among others. Although a second album was planned, the band split from the label and Holosade suffered a major blow when guitarist Jack Hammer (real name Simon Jones) went on to join SABBAT in early 1989. Bassist Mac teamed up with ACID REIGN. Substitutes were Paul Trotter and Chris Bently respectively. The band also added drummer Andy Barker.
Following the split from Powerstation and line-up reshuffling, Holosade released a three track demo, 'The Return' [1993], but soon split and various members later turned up during 1993 in new act DOMINION. However, Holosade reformed in 1994 with Simon Jones reverting back to his stage persona of Jack Hammer. A second album was recorded but never released. By 1998 Barker was running Metal magazine 'Sound Barrier' and playing drums once more, this time for INTENSE.
Simon Jones came back into the limelight during 2001 as part of erstwhile SKYCLAD vocalist Martin Walkyier's new RETURN TO THE SABBAT. The guitarist would bow out of this project early the following year due to family commitments.
