Daniel Chavis ( Apollo Heights)

I am lead singer and lyricist of The band Apollo Heights. I was fromerly of the band the Veldt. I was born In Raleigh North carolina. I have an Identical twin brother Danny who also writes and plays guitar in the band. At the moment I was relocated in Paris writing with Gutiarist Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins. I was fortunate to let the surrondings of Paris effect my writing. While in Paris, I read many books by Rimbaud, shelly and Herman Miller. llustration and art are my main things in life and have always been. As far as music is concerned I am lyrically influenced by the Physcology(is that spelled right?)of human beings and why they do the stupid shit they do.Albeit a somber and sad tone, It makes for more visual and intresting topic. Having been thru many the trials and tribulations of the human Bullshit circut, There are an arry of situations (most overly emotional) That I talk about in many of my compositions. Women are a primary muse in many a Apollo Hieghts composition, as well as what is god? and why is god. I am compelled by the anger and frustration that come about in everyday life. And I am distrustful of many.
