I'm Just Trying To Be A Better Person!

About Me

You know, I used to have a pretty sweet life... I had a steady job, a fiancée and a house. Yet within just one week, I managed to lose it all!
I came home from work one night to find my fiancée with another man, who she later married, then had his baby. The videogames shop 'GamesMania' that I worked for, went bankrupt, so I lost my job (they still owe me two weeks holiday pay). Finally, my mortgage company told me to sign over my house to my now ex-fiancée, as I had no income to make the monthly repayments.

After a night out drowning my sorrows with another ex staff member, I got back to his house and surfed the internet a while before bedding down for the night. It was at that moment I discovered Karma! I had stumbled across an interview with Carson Daly (talk show host and record label owner) who said that 'the secret to my success is all down to the good things I do in my life. I believe in what goes around comes around and if you live your life by doing good things, then good things will happen to you. However, if you do bad things, then they will come back to haunt you!'

As my life sucked, it was at that point that I decided to start following the rules of Karma, in the hope that one day, good things may once again happen to me... my name is Mookie!

Mookie is fascinated by ASCii / ANSI Digital ARTwhich was rampant back in the days of BBS's on the ATARI ST & AMIGA 500.

I have written some algorithms to convert JPEG pictures into the ASCii style :

Of course, real ASCii ART is produced using just a text editor and the symbols on a keyboard! Mookie is now practising his real ASCii ART using an EDITOR called TundraDraw which allows you to make both ASCii and ANSI ART :
