Il complesso di andrea nasce nell’Aprile del 2006 dall’unione di un gruppo di musicisti ed amici intorno alle canzoni di Andrea Ferri. La decisione di abbandonare la veste cantautorale nasce prevalentemente dalla volontà di recuperare la dimensione live e di vivere la musica come esperienza da condividere. Da qui la decisione di riprendere le canzoni e riarrangiarle a quattro mani. Subito registrano un demo che è accolto favorevolmente dagli addetti ai lavori (vedi recensione su Raro!) ed anche trasmesso su radio locali quali Radio Città Futura e Radio Città Aperta. Incominciano ad esibirsi dal vivo nei migliori locali romani e vengono selezionati tra i finalisti di ITALIA WAVE 2007. Il gruppo si è anche esibito al mitico Cavern di Liverpool nell'ambito della rassegna IPO 2007 ed è stato menzionato dalla BBC tra i migliori 10 act della rassegna. A Luglio, la band si è classificata seconda nell’ambito della rassegna Labaro Rock con il brano in concorso “la decadenza dell’impero occidentale†il quale verrà anche inserito nella compilation Labaro Rock 2007. Attualmente Il complesso di andrea sta lavorando alla sua prima autoproduzione
Il complesso di andrea is jet another project of former singer-songwriter Andrea Ferri. After years spent working in studios, there was the urge of re-experiencing live performance and band-like sound. All Andrea's songs were therefore re-arranged together with the band. They immediately recorded a demo cd that got some good reviews and got broadcasted on some important local radio stations. They also started performing regularly on the best stages in Rome and have been selected for some important festivals. More recently the band also performed at the 2007 IPO festival at the Cavern Club in Liverpool and have being listed by the BBC amongst the best 10 acts of the festival.
