Dutchican Soul aka Niel'CDJ and producer NielC started working
as a DJ at the age of 14, playing at local
parties and radio stations in the east of
the Netherlands. When he discovered
house music, at about this time, his
course was set.In 1996 he had his first residency at
Maxs. Within two
years he had played in major clubs
across the Netherlands. He was also
employed by a major record company,
Astral Music (www.astralmusic.com),
and maintains affiliation with this
internationally recognized vinyl distributor.He soon started producing music and
collaborated with close friends DJ Dulac and
Rob Rolefes.His DJ work frequently took him abroad
with gigs in Greece, Spain and Austria.
In the Netherlands he continued to be
in demand playing in Amsterdam
and Rotterdam.In 2001 NielC went to Australia for 2 ½ years
to produce music and play at his Subterranean
Abstract Funk Sessions in clubs like; The Family, The Pressclub, Brisbane
(www.thefamily.com.au), Mybar,
(www.mybar.net.au), Liquid Lounge, Elsewhere, Berlin Bar Surfers Paradise.
He also had a radio show on Radio Metro, Gold Coast with
James Canning every thursday night.
Alongside local DJs like; Chris Wilson, James Canning and Ben Cooper
he played with Mick Mr. Sax Vasta, Russian on Percussion (PTY LTD),
Mr. Zonk (Trumpet), Mc. Handy (Vinyl Slingers) and Miss Tiffany Judge (Vocals).In his DJ career, NielC has played alongside many international DJs, such as
Bob Sinclar, Junkbeats 24-7, Jon Cutler, Knee Deep, Martin Solveig, Shakedown to name only a few.These days NielC is fulltime producing. His collaboration with DJ Dulac (www.djdulac.com) has been very succesful and their first single Impress Me was released in June 2006 on DJ Jaimys label Drum Mode. Huge support from Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, DJ Chus & Ceballos,
Behrouz, Tom Stephan, Roog and Jaimy. Then his own productions Senorina Bella (with mr. Sax) and SaxoJam (with Saxokroon) have been again signed to Drum Mode and have been released in April 2007 with a massive remix by Tribal King DJ Jaimy support all over the globe!Hot new electo-house track 'Up&Down' on Chega Recordings is out now thru traxsource, beatport,etc. including DULAC and Baggi Begovic remix!
