This is the promotional Page for the Sensational MISS AFRICA USA PAGEANT. An annual event hosted in Georgia, uniting the African community and Friends of Africa, celebrating the African cultural heritage. The MISS AFRICA USA pageant is a grand charity event benefiting women and children in Africa. The event has also proved to inspire young women growing up in America today. The Pageant is produced by the African Women's Development Foundation USA, a non-profit 501c-3 organization based in Georgia. The AWDF was founded by the dynamic Lady Kate Njeuma whose vision is to groom young women into powerful leaders for humanity. Each year the Queen takes on a challenging role of being an ambassador for the needy carrying out major charity projects in Africa. Our Mission is to increase access to education especially for the girl child, increase access to health care, as well as advocate for women and children's rights. Due to the competitive nature of the pageant, delegates representing Africa are college students, very savy, articulate, well educated and very accomplished ladies who simply want to speak out and take action as great humanitarians. Africa is the forgotten continent, but we must wake up and see the need to help in every little way we can. We thank God for the opportunities that America has given us but we must remember those who need our help in Africa. ismap="ismap" /> MISS AFRICA 2006-2007 Teizue Gayflor ended her reign in Liberia where she met with the Vice President of Liberia and also launched the Back to School Program. She spoke at 4 different Schools, donated fans for classrooms. Spoke on Teenage Pregnancies and HIV/AIDS, Education and also spent time at the Liberian Orphanage/the aftermath of the civil war in Liberia.
