LIGHTS OUT, UH-HUH

About Me

Monstro Flora was for so long Erik Flores and his collection of songs..../ Rolling into Los Angeles on a highway that started in Austin, Texas, Erik and his ideas found some inspiration and love among the palm trees, sand, city lights and crazy California artists. After days and nights of trying to throw his arms around the city, playing solo acoustic shows, recording and picking up gigs with local rock and roll outfits, Erik crossed paths with Steve Grohne, an artist (architect, musician and graphic designer) from Germany who would eventually make up the LOW end propulsion of Monstro Flora. Soon, realizing that they they shared an intense love affair with music, late night drinks and all things Rock and Roll , the inevitable partnership was born. Monstro Flora was taking on it's personality. Eager to jump into the scene as a full band, they searched aggressively for a drummer who could join the circle. They found Ed Via, who happened to be from Erik's home state of TX and was also looking for the right group of people to share his ideas with. The fit was good and the band was off. Which brings us to date: Monstro Flora is a rock and roll band with songs that reveal the not always pretty trail of late night drinks, loss, hope, broken hearts, faith, insecurity, wonder, recklessness, regret, certainty, love and the rest that has not yet revealed itself.../////////////////////////////////////////////////EL ECTRONIC PRESS KIT:
