Bio:
Throughout his career, David Hull has been referred to as many things; Prodigy, innovator and modern day Mozart have topped the list in recent years. But as David took off in his professional career, his resumé quickly came to rival those of musicians twice his age. By the age of 14 he had been flown to dozens of jazz festivals as a featured pianist and sold over a thousand CDs along the way. By the time he'd graduated high school, he'd toured Europe, won awards and scholarships for piano, bass and trumpet performance, and played with literally hundreds of musicians from around the globe.
But David wasn't happy quitting there. Moving to Paris at age 18, David threw himself into a foreign country to experience different challenges in life and in music that would set the stage for his creative career. It was there that he developed much of his style in both writing and playing. After 5 months of solitary songwriting and arranging David returned home to California to continue his career as a creative musician, armed with a distinctive, left of center creativity that would become his trademark.
Now with a penchant for making viral videos and for recording his music, David has turned the small world of indie music lovers, musicians and music professionals on its ear. Most regard him as a talented multi-instrumental soloist, but it's when he is on stage with other musicians that one is convinced of David Hull's natural ability to create and converse in his own musical language.
