Four guys and one girl try to animate grannys to dance barefoot. In front of the Plattrock-stage after a few songs there's always a big party, because there's no better way to dance than to Cowpunk, Punk-Polka and Folkrock. So that is the reason why this band is still alive. Nothing works better than a party!In 1979 the band started, and until 1988 it was a three-member-group. And two of them are still on the stage.After 1989 the band expanded to seven members, which led to a change in style from Blues, Rock, Rock'n'Roll to Folk and Folkrock. Today it's a mixture of all different styles that we call "Provincerock" or "Northernchurchesdoublefuckingspeedfolkrock" and that's what it is, not more, not less.Plattrock was played in several Radio-Shows between Belgium and Siberia. But the band never left Germany for playing their shows. But they've been on TV and several Open-Airs in front of thousands of viewers. The biggest one was the "Radio-Kiepenkerl-Airport-Open-Air" in front of an audience of 16.000 viewers. Too big for the band, and after a break of six years they started playing again in 2003.The Jubilee-Festival in 2004 was just the beginning. New songs are written, more will follow. Maybe one day a new CD? Who knows.We'll see what the future will bring.
