Mild Success!!!!!

About Me

Brief History
In 2006 Steve decided he wanted to be in a band(because he got kicked out of his old band and everyone knows you cant be kicked out of the band you made) so anyway he was looking for people to play with him...play music with him. His first port of call was David, one of the known drummers in the school. David then mentioned his friend Nik who just wanted to be in a band. This was the original line up with Nik on vocals, Steve on guitar and David on drums. This line up lasted for approximatley a day, when they added one of their best friends Dominic who became the singer after it was generally agreed Nik could'nt sing. Nik quickly took up bass so that he could remain in the band. Their first gig was an ok success with the audience syaing "they were'nt as bad as we thought they were going to be". Their second gig unfortunatley did not go to well and were generally considered to be bad, very bad. This caused the band to have a major think, which resulted in them making songs which people could relate to. Some of these songs included Jims Parade about burger jims and Bunny whichmis a song about a hallucination of a rabbit that told one of the band members to get milk. After that they worked really really hard and played numerous gigs in the skellow area which gave them their love of performing for any crowd no matter what happens or who to. Their first gig in the town centre came when The priory started holding under 18 nights for which The Scoleri Brothers played the second ever one. they have had alot of gigs with the priory from then on (4 in total). The band has played in most venues in town including The Priory,The leopard,Paris Gate and Were one of the last bands to play at Camelots before the drugs bust (shifty eyes). They are currently trying to expand out of Doncaster but finding it pretty hard. The Scoleri Brothers are formed on four friends who just like messing around with music and trying to have as much fun as possible and try to add their fans (what fans?) into that. They are constantly writing new material and looking for gigs. Maybe one day you'll come across them and you'll think well that was weird but kind of cool
REVIEW
"The Scoleri Brothers were headlining ‘its wired’ at the priory on 15th January. The close relationships of this band really shows in their live performances, both in their music, and their on stage presence. Their catchy poppy melodies, combined with heavy bass and drum, and various styles of guitar, really makes this band original. Another of this bands strengths is in their timing, of all the bands playing, they played the most as a group, complementing each other’s styles. Each band had technical difficulties on this night, the Scoleri brothers however kept control of the situation, with charm, comedy, and showmanship in the form of an on the spot improvisation on drum and bass. What this band loses in experience, they make up for in personality, song writing and atmosphere of live shows."
