I had the chance to be a contestant in the 2005 Colgate Country Showdown . I was lucky enough to win, and went on to the State Finals in Fort Madison, Ia. at the Tri-State Rodeo in Sept. To my surprise, I won State, and moved on to the Regionals in Flandreau, SD at the Royal River Casino where I earned 2nd place.I also was in the 2006 Colgate Country Showdown. I won the state of Nebraska and moved onto regionals in Flandreau, SD ..There I earned 2nd place again...But had a blast..Meanwhile, I've been busy with numerous gigs throughout the states of NE, IA, and MN. These include many local county fairs. At the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Ia. There I've gotten to open with the National Anthem for artists such as LYNYRD SKYNYRD, MARTINA MCBRIDE, BRAD PAISLEY, CHRIS CAGEL, AND ZZ TOP.I have released an album called "Wings of Time". This includes 7 original songs along with 3 cover songs. It was recorded and mixed by my friend and producer, Will Prines in Sioux Falls, SD., and then mastered in Nashville. It has received generous praise from fans and radio stations alike. My new song "Hometown of Mine" is about my two small hometowns, May City, and Melvin, Ia. is getting a lot of play on various stations across the area.
