About Me

Originally I am from the Northeast. I was born and raised in the Philadelphia area spending summers at the Jersey shore, eating Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies, watching the Phillies and Eagles games, and the mummers parade on New Year's Day. I've lived in other places like New York City for about a year right after 9-11 2002-03. I lived in Louisiana for 3 years, and I joined the Navy in South Florida which is my home of record, as far as the military goes, but Philly will always be my hometown.I'm recently stationed in Norfolk, VA, "the world's largest Navy base," and I live in the barracks, but I want to get an apartment off base. I was married once, and divorced, no kids, although I did have dogs at one time. I'm pretty laid back, sometimes quiet and get along with most people. I like to drink but I'm not a huge club person.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

New friends, old friends, cool people. I have met some pretty cool people, and have met a couple people that I've known on here. Other people I work with, some shipmates from boot camp, and others that I've never met but chat or email with on a regular basis. I try to keep in touch with people when I can, although I'm not one to spend hours chatting on a phone.

Music:

I like a variety of different music. I have a bunch of classic rock on my laptop, like the Rolling Stones, the Beatles Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, the Doobie Bros., Bad Co., Van Halen and some U2. I also like some country like Kenny Chesney, I like Jazz and classical from time to time.

Movies:

Forrest Gump, Field of Dreams, Saving Private Ryan, Biloxi Blues. Scary movies include The Shining, and Sixth Sense. A Bronx Tale, The Mission and other movies with Robert DeNiro I like. The Godfather is always a great classic! Of comedies I like Office Space, What about Bob, Planes Trains,& Automobiles, and any other old John Candy Comedies. Some old classic movies especially some with Audrey Hepburn or John Wayne. "If you have to use that thing make sure you know which way it's pointed." - John Wayne

Television:

At this time I don't have a television. Any entertainment consists of watching DVDs on my laptop. I like a lot of the old TV shows like MASH, Taxi, Cheers, and some 70's shows like Sanford and Son.

Books:

The last book I read was Flags of our Fathers by John Bradley and then I saw the movie.

Heroes:

All veterans, those who are now serving our country in harms way, and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
