About Me

Since we are all "friends" here on this intimate little thing called myspace, I'll start with an introduction. Hi, my name is Andrea Marie Netherwood. I'm a sentimental ape and the size of a large lump. A nerd, goof ball, good for nothin' freak ass. Can't even tie my shoes, trip over my feet, knock stuff over, fall down, get up...fall down again. I'm a self-taught professional nose massage therapist/counselor, but I only work part-part-part time. I do take appointments, but the only client I have and the only client I will ever have is myself. I make extensive appointments with myself to myself. And I take my time, show up late and forget about my appointments with myself. Then I get upset, but stay rational. You don't ever want to become irrational and bring up issues from the past in an argument. Then I kiss and make-up and take myself to dinner. I eat top ramen and like it.check out www.myspace.com/xenophiles, if you must know more details! I've been in a few bands: the Xenophiles, D.I.L.Y.S.I and SGL, played some west coast tour dates on the VANS Warped Tour summer '06, and created and played the part of a raunchy cheerleader (fearleader) and Robobunny in Seattle School's IRON COMPOSER show. For more info. on all that mayhem, go to www.ironcomposer.com, click on "manifesto", and scroll over the pom pom icon. I'm the dark haired fearleader. You can also click on my rotating head at the SkyQ exhibit on the observation deck at the Space Needle. I also enjoy acting, creating art, photography, making short films; some of which have been in film fests in Seattle, and conducting social experiments.Blah, blah, blah...so anyhorse, in addition to doing creative projects and such, I love to travel. Recent travels include a solo road trip from Virginia out to Seattle. I'm a fairly independent type and taking this trip was something I had really wanted to do. The trip was fantastic. I took my time taking southern routes across the U.S., then cut up North through Utah, Idaho, Oregon, into WA. Covered 17 states total during that trip, and drove approx. 5,000 miles. Earlier this year I traveled to England and India. For anyone who hasn't been to England, though England has its differences from the U.S., on a global scale, life there isn't a far cry from life here in the states. I really enjoyed the English lifestyle, but not the high costs! India is quite a different story, there are many cultural differences, (I experienced reverse culture shock upon my return to the states...U.S. life felt fictitous. It felt like the real problems of the world were swept aside to nothing more than sound bites and that pop-culture and pop-stars of the moment reined supreme). India is a remarkable and fascinating country. I learned many life lessons there and hope to return again someday. This is your only chance in this life, so make it count...dracula!..
