About Me

Why RiRi? I was christened RiRi by my good friend Cindy Krag. It's what my niece and nephews call me. And it is a lot easier for people to say than "Mariechen". It's taken me 51 years, 25 years of marriage and raising 2 girls to decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I want to bake and decorate cakes. I love it. I love the tastes, textures and aromas of making my cakes. I love making the flowers. But most of all I love watching the faces of the brides, and others as they see the cake for the first time, better yet when they cut into the cake and take that first bite!My cakes are all made based on a receipe my grandmother used when I was growing up. I use REAL butter in my icings. I love using liqoures and exotic flavors in my cakes. I want your cake to be as unique as you and your occasion should be.My cakes are reasonably priced starting at just $2.00 a serving. I can work with any budget. I have several specialty cakes that are my own creation. My favorite is an Italian Amarette Cream that is mmmmmm delicious. My Interests

Baking Cakes, creating new and different reciepes for cakes. Creating unique designs for cakes. I like to push the envelope with shapes and sizes. I like using different things to adorn my cakes, like an antique crystal candle holder, or a string of beads or a glazing ball surrounded by flowers.

Well lets see, I have had lunch with the Beach Boys and drinks with John Denver. Gee is there anyone else? OK there's Elvis, but he's not around anymore. I would have liked to have met Princess Diana after she dumped Charles and found out she didn't need him anymore. I would have liked to have met Jackie Kennedy who to me was always the embodiment of grace and class. And I would love to meet Laura Bush. I would like to a few minutes in a dark alley with a few male actors that I will leave nameless for the time being. I would love to meet the cast of the Young and Restless simply because they have the best looking men and the most amazing story line.

Brenna has gotten me hooked on the Black Dagger series, Brittany got me hooked on Harry Potter. The Stand, Gone with the Wind, and my first love "Christy".
