Sascha Konietzko
Born in Hamburg, West Germany is the founder of the band KMFDM. Spawned in
1984, KMFDM pioneered the crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal with
their signature industrial sound. Having relocated to Chicago in the early 90's,
KMFDM was the pride of Wax Trax! Records when the label was at its peak. Rapidly
evolving year by year through intense experimentation and touring, the band has
redefined themselves with each new release. Over 22 years of non-stop effort
toward KMFDM has somehow still afforded him the time to be involved in several
other projects (MDFMK, Excessive Force, Schwein), as well as to make a name for
himself as producer, remixer and publisher.

Are" which was featured on the "Empire Records" movie soundtrack. Drill toured
extensively opening and headlining across the globe along side Marilyn Manson,

Machine Gun and numerous others. After Drill disbanded, Lucia joined MDFMK. The
side project of KMFDM mastermind Sascha Konietzko. Along with Sascha and Tim
Skold, MDFMK toured the US and Japan and was acclaimed for their futuristic
sound and anime style. Most notably their custom made 600 pound 9 ft. tall
terminator style guitar playing robot. When Sascha decided to reform KMFDM he
invited Lucia on board to collaborate and she hasn't looked back since. In
Between recording and touring with KMFDM, Lucia also recorded her debut solo
