We organize music concerts in a 'club setting' with both Dutch and International artists. The most intriguing fusions between genres can find their place at WORM. To call a spade asa spade however, we've brought all manners of: glitch heaviness, clicking 'n' cutting; breakcored, electro, plunderphonica; electroid, thrill 'n' bass, junglisms, turntablisms, hiphop, and technoid, illbient ambiances to our stage. Digital's the great common denominator though, video artists and cineastes finishing it all off with stunning visuals ............................................................ ..................................... WORM's film programme originally began in a stance of resistance against dreary art cinema. Many remarkable, revealing cult films and documentaries never make it to the big screen nor ever will. Cult classics indeed are no longer shown on TV , our only opportunity for viewing, being to stumble across them in the darkest corners of well-supplied video stores. The visual alchemy of experiment in Live Cinema and short film suffering even more, failing as they do to ease into the tight corset of the art cinemas. WORM pays attention to these obscured genres and films, guaranteeing their place beyond the inevitable top 100s of classics and evergreens in film history.
