ROTAX met the electronic music after going to early Clubs and the famous rave parties. Before he became a DJ he was practicing flute, piano and saxophone. He started to mix in 1997, after to meet “Jeff Mills’ music” and he decided to perform and organize some events like the “Fete de la Musique”(each year in France the 21st of June, it’s allowed to play music everywhere), the “Telethon” (performance during a « techno - marathon 24h»), the students parties (UTC (Paris), Polytech’Lille(Lille), …). His engineer studies took him to Lille where he met the Belgian techno culture. He performed in some clubs like « Objectif Lune », the « Cube », Reve d’O, … After this experience he decided to form with his roommates an independent organisation in 2000: the 104e20 sound system! Now, it’s an independent label (www.siliciumrecords.tk) and an independent studio and records shop (www.modusrecords.blogspot.com). He has already is own place on internet: www.myspace.com/rotterdamaxelerator ! ROTAX is also an independent artist and his interests and his energy for the new cultures and technologies gave him a unique and eclectic sound. His taste for experimentation pushed him and his friends to develop a new technique: the 4 Decks mix! The mix becomes a real powerful original interpretation of the tracks! He performs alone often with 3 decks.
