Spike is a Derbyshire based multi-instrumentalist.
While playing drums for power pop 4 piece Teenage Casket Company , he continues to work on his solo project and has so far produced 2 albums, Spike (2001) and Salvatore (2003). Work on a third album is well underway.
Drawing influences from areas as diverse as 70's prog rock, synth pop, classical and the Scandinavian music scene, Spike is an enthusiast of alternative tunings and unusual instruments to create his soundscapes. In the making of Salvatore he employed bouzouki, hammer dulcimer, harp, sitar, glockenspiel and string synthesiser alongside more traditional instruments.
