About Me

An awesome piece of glass. Created by "Darodesigns" Thank you David!Hi! Thanks for taking the time to stop and read and check out my page. This is actually my 3rd or 4th...I've lost track as far as changing the motif. I've gone the political route, the military route, the occupational hazard route, Las Vegas route, and the hot and sexy graphics route.....this time, thought I'd take my *favorite* route...... 66! My Grandmothers' birthday was just last week, she would have been 87, she passed away at the age of 59 from cancer. I remembered her on that day in the form of a trip we took when I was 6 years old...and it amazes me to this day how vivid some of those memories are, made at the tender age of 6 and carried through 44 years. She was terrified to fly and we were meeting my Grandfather for a family vacation in Anaheim CA. She packed us all into a Corvair, myself, my Mother, and my Aunt DeeDee...and off we went...cross country, no air conditioning...Route 66 almost the entire trip....there wasn't Route 70 or 44 or 40 West...THIS was the road west in 1963. Hot, I remember HOT. My crayons had melted in the trunk of the car when she pulled over in the Mohave Desert to retrieve them for me. We stopped at the Grand Canyon and I rode a donkey down to the bottom...all by myself...like a big girl. We stopped along the way every night at some neon clad motel and had hamburgers and shakes. I saw real Indians and she bought me a pair of white, beaded moccasins that I wore until I outgrew them. This "blurb" really doesn't say too much "About Me"...or then again, maybe it does. Anything else you would like to know....just ask....I'm a friendly sort.Oh...and as afterthought....when we got to California, we stayed with my Aunt Johnnie and Uncle Chuck...they had a beautiful swimming pool, which on the first night, I promptly fell into at the deep end.....I could not swim and panicked and went under....a pair of hands grabbed me by the pink and white pin striped baby doll pajamas I was wearing...and yanked me up like a bear grabbing a fish. It was my teenage cousin Chuck Jr. When he was in his 30's, he died in a plane crash in Alaska. Kim....people *ARE* placed where they are needed to be. :D Thank you for reminding me of that every day!Myspace Layouts

ALL OF MY DOGS IN HEAVEN SOMEDAYAnd HIM!

Movies:

Anything with Andy Garcia of course... Anything and all Tarantino. Two Days in the Valley, The Last of the Mohicans, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jade, Showgirls (groans and moans I can hear it now) The Godfather Trilogy..especially One and Three. Death and the Maiden. Tons of others...but as with music....just too many to list

Television:

.

Books:

I like true crime and psychological thrillers. Anything that grabs me in the first paragraph really. I am burned out on nursing journals....seems like the same old, stale articles are re-printed time and time again. And I am an obsessive reader....once I pick it up...all life as I know it ceases to exist until I'm finished.Probably a quote from the next best seller:"She gratefully accepts his warm kiss and embrace of friendship...for he is correct....true friends, true soul connections.....are few and far between....and when we happen upon one of those souls.....we should hang on for dear life." A friend is currently writing the novel which the above exerpt was taken. On my friends, he is "23 Red Productions"
