I am here for Friends

About Me

I thought it was about time that I updated my, 'About me' thing. I read it and decided, "Nope. It's still perfect".
So here it (still) is...

I could write for days about me, but this is the 'incredible short version'. Be thankful. I'm a surprisingly unsociable 'people-person'. I'm a twin. My twin is Julia. She is quite lovely and much nicer than me. She lives in England where I once lived. People sometimes ask, and yes, of course... we are 'identical twins' in every way.
What are you thinking?
Family and friends are very important to me. Without them I'd have no family or friends. Christmas would suck.

I'm 51, (don't worry about that, it won't last above a year) and at my age I realise that Photo Shop is the poor man's Plastic Surgery (PS), and I couldn't live without it, but I actually do really want to be 75. At 75 you can tune out and it's OK. I've wanted to be 75 for YEARS and it's turning out to be a long wait.
Old soul. Incredibly young body : ) Wish I had grey hair.
Creative. Sorta.
I fix stuff. I break stuff. I throw too much stuff away and buy too much. It all takes a lot of time.
OK with my own company (wonderful discussions - like this one), but enjoy the occasional other person too. If they're quiet.
My wife will kill me if I don't mention her, so, darling, I mention you : )
I love music (who doesn't?) but I like silence too. It's underated.
On the other hand, if I'm in a room with you, I WILL talk. Can't help that - but if it's silence you prefer I don't find that too awkward and will try to be peaceful.
I believe people are 'good'; I look for that and usually find it.
Vaguely intuitive. I do wish people would rely on that more in themselves and wake up to it!
I like good malt whisky. Red wine and Champagne. Doesn't have to be good Champagne, it's just the bubbles I like. Water is an odd drink (I bathe in that) but Vodka's OK. Coffee flows through my veins 24/7; without it I'm usually asleep.
I have MS, but it's not my career. Sometimes it's not so bad, sometimes it is, but if I count my blessings I lose count. If I moan about it though (sometimes I do) DO tell me to shut up! I don't have it badly enough to complain all the time!
Until recently I smoked. Now I just smoulder, resentfully. And now I smoke again.
Can't imagine how awful it would be to be famous. Luckily, this is not an issue for me(!), but I feel for those who are and want to be just good at what they do and have that known, but not themselves.
By the way, if you are that annoying person who crunches on chips and candy in public waiting-rooms and on public transport I will hurt you.
Also... if you are that very annoying person who needs to make 'Important Mobile Phone Calls' loudly in public places I will hurt you AND your 'phone! It's mobile. Go away. If you find yourself laughing as loudly in private as you do in public, get treatment. On the other hand, if you are the kind of person who leaves the remote next to the television and uses it there, I will understand that you are 'remotely challenged', and will try and like you for other qualities instead and ignore the 'phone thing' utterly. It will be as if it isn't happening and I will even try and smile. Remember, whoever you are, I want to like you. I much prefer liking people. OK?
This is my platform and I can say whatever I like, so...
I'm not sure why we're all here, but we are - so quit squawking and start complaining properly.
Oh.... and when I am 96 I am going to die. It seems a bit old, really, and I'm sorry it's going to happen at all - but that's just the way the cookie crumbles. I'm hoping it turns out to be 'a good thing. Oh... and if I go sooner it's because I'm needed earlier. OK?

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Now then... Happy Rhodes. (No-one should be that talented) I've sorta met this nice lady already - so this is cheating, isn't it?
Go listen to her. There's more going on with this singer/sonwriter than meets the eye.
Give it time. You'll be blown away..
A wonderful fan-run page at...

http://happyrhodes.org

Also...
Hitler's mother. (Explanations, please. Commiserations too, I would imagine.)

George W Bush - because he makes me feel quite competent, and I like that in people.

Steve Jobs. (No product should be that effective.)

Bill Gates' mother. (No product should be that effective.)

Madonna. Everyone wants to meet Madonna and I'm keen to find out why. I think she's probably very nice.

I'm sure I've forgotten IMPORTANT PEOPLE. If you are an important people please don't be offended. I tend to do that.

Oh.. God! Then there's God. (I would just so like to know; shake your hand; thank you for it all - and sort out this wretched dinosaur fossil thing.)

I'd like to re-meet all the people I've already met, and do it better!

As you can see, my friends are all Extremely Beautiful People . This is worth bearing in mind should you wish to apply. Also, being my friend is not overly expensive. I accept Visa and Mastercard, and urge you to do as the others on this page have done - use direct debit. This will assure continued deep, personal and meaningful relationships unhindered by paperwork.

PayPal. Yes, obviously : )
