As the name suggests, Sexy Rexy Musique aim to bring the life and love back into clubland, using as their weapons a heady cocktail of continental sound and a discreet, tasteful sense of erotica. They know where house music has been now they want to take it somewhere else. Sexy Rexys love of 80s culture, funk and soul is fundamental to their vibe, but their sexy house twist gives the music a raw, re-imagined sound. The music exudes style, sensuality and sophistication. Its the sound of summer its music with class its music to step off your yacht to!
The label may be new, but the brains behind it have been around a while. The baby of Marco Federici, Sexy Rexy has quickly attracted aficionados, bringing onboard the production genius of Tony Massera (whos been producing since the late 70s) and Belgian wizard Sammy Merayah. Sexy Rexy have also been getting props from the likes of Bob Sinclar for their Anglo-French productions. Together they aim to put a little glamour back onto the dancefloor. The sample CD went down a storm at the Miami Winter Music Conference and is currently the first choice of top DJs: "Wicked funky stuff - A MUST" - Mark Gore, Hed Kandi. "Pure class, sexy f*ck me music" - Andrew Fuller, Club2gether.
Among the fans of Sexy Rexy is superstar DJ Fatboy Slim, who has named this his soundtrack to the summer, calling it a monster! The poor guy actually threatened to cut his own throat on a scribbled fax to Sexy Rexy HQ if they didnt send him the vinyl! The first release on the label will feature two tracks from the sampler and will mean the Fatboy wont have to go to those lengths. Kate Moss has even played this monster at a recent Fatboy party in Ibiza!
Our Miami Sampler from '05 made No. 2 in the UK Music Week Club Chart, beating heavyweights like Blaze and Mariah Carey - only Mylo kept us from the top spot! The infamous fax from a certain Fatboy Slim helped further our reputation for superb house music...
