The familiar sounds of 311, Rage, Chili Peppers, Tool, Pearl Jam, Weezer, Cake, and Stone Temple Pilots explode from the stage in every performance. From Atlanta, Xtra Medium’s mission was to revisit the best music of the early 90’s. As the song list grew, so did the requests for Xtra Medium to cover more bands. Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, The White Stripes, and Frans Ferdinand are the newest additions to Xtra Medium’s arsenal. The band was crowned the winner of Last Call’s battle of the bands last summer. The Athens, Ga. music event had 64 bands participate, and the fans voted Xtra Medium their favorite.After more than 300 shows in three years, Xtra Medium took a long hiatus. In 2008 the band reunited and is back stronger than ever. With the addition of new songs and a new musician, Xtra Medium is ready to take over the Southeast again.
