About Me

MyGen Profile Generator Uber Lingua promotes trans-cultural party music from all corners of the globe. Pulling from their vast archive and network of sounds from around the planet, Uber's DJs drop alternative international sounds including hummpa, baile funk, bhangra, dancehall, reggaeton, kuduro, latino and balkan beats with electro, rock, hip hop and all other genres from regions less traveled... developing a community of international music and culture lovers in the process...
From the extremes of bad-ass cheese to the ultra experimental, and everything in between, Uber DJs go almost anywhere with the multi-lingo fascination being the anchor point.
If you attend an Uber Lingua event, expect to traverse the globe and experience the world's languages while you dance yer ass off.... Renowned for their events in Sydney and Melbourne, Uber Lingua has presented continuous weekly events in Melbourne (either one or two per week) since 2004, celebrating diversity and building a network of culturally and linguistically diverse DJs, MCs, VJs and other performers in the process.
Pre 2007 highlights have included killer Harbour Cruises in Sydney, touring Kenyan Hip Hop crew Sinpare up the east coast of Australia, featuring people like Deadbeat, Filastine and the Nortec Collective at our Clubs... and supporting the ambitions of local cultural crews like VulgarGrad, Black Symbol, WeiZen, Diafrix, Social Progression System, Miso and the Gypsy Dub Sound System to name a few.
Current DJ residencies include Thursdays, upstairs at the Laundry & Fridays at Mink Bar in St Kilda in Melbourne... And the massive Saturday night 3 room parties at the Abercrombie Hotel in Sydney once a month... We also venture regularly into other parts of Australia. On Fridays and Saturdays our DJ sets feature on Tasmanian radio station Edge thru our DIALECTIC radio show... This show has now been picked up for national syndication on the Community Radio Satellite network... re-broadcast by many an Australian community radio station on a weekly or twice weekly basis...
Like minded acts and producers looking for exposure in Australia thru the Radio shows and DJs can send material to Uber Lingua PO Box 2613 Fitzroy 3065 AUSTRALIA
