Let's Roll

About Me

The S-Tones are a four piece rock band with roots in blues, funk and rock n roll. All coming from different musical backgrounds they listen to a wide selection of music including blues, rock, funk, hip hop, metal, pop, indie, alternative stuff and even 80s.They have a wealth of previous experience playing in bands in Australia and the UK . Some bands of note include Hotline, Cranky Pants, La Fem and Gordon in Australia and The Exports, Hurricane State and Hiphopalipzz in Manchester. In about June 2006 in sunny Manchester, UK these like minded individuals got together to tackle the system of pop pococurantism, . They set about practising their art in an industrial estate in Salford until the debut gig at Friends of Mine, Joshua Brooks on Sat 8th July 2006.Recording was a blast!Supporting the Bluetones in Wigan was excellent! We didn't quite get the M.E.N. gig, but we shall rise, rise, rise! Ash of the keys variety is back from Texas where he made some swell contacts!Should be travelling there soon - Nashville and Memphis here we come.Played Green Bohemia to a capacity crowd(?) - thanks guys! Made a few new friends. The Inaugural Capital Destruction Gig Rocked. I think it was London baby! The Birds Nest in Deptford. A neoclassical concert hall of some repute.Got a few gigs coming up not the last of which this Friday at Poynton High. Tickets selling fast! Then there's Academy 3 in July and Dry Bar in Aug - don't be strangers.Writing heaps and about to embark on some new recordings. Looking to get about 15 tracks down this time!! WooHooo! Love recording!
